Contact form
Data collected
Your name, email address and message are required. Your company, current website address, budget and timeline are optional.
What happens to it
- Your request is sent to me by email, and a confirmation is sent to the address you provided.
- Emails sent by the site are logged in the site's admin area to check that they were delivered. This log is automatically purged after 30 days.
- Exchanges are kept in my mailbox for 3 years from the last contact, then deleted, unless a business relationship has started in the meantime.
Spam protection
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. To tell a human visitor from a bot, this service analyzes technical information: IP address, browser characteristics, interaction signals. This data is not used to track you across sites or for advertising.
Audience measurement
With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics to measure its traffic: pages viewed, visit duration, device type, approximate location. These statistics help me understand what interests visitors and improve the site.
- Audience measurement cookies are only set after you agree, through the banner shown on your first visit.
- They expire after 13 months at most. The associated data is kept for 14 months.
- Declining has no effect on your browsing.
You can change your choice at any time:
Cookies and local storage
- Theme choice: when you switch between light and dark display, your preference is saved in your browser (local storage, key
vm-theme). It never leaves your device and requires no consent, since it only serves the setting you asked for. - Audience measurement: Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*), set only with your consent. - Comments: cookies that remember your details, only if you check the box provided.
- Consent choice: a cookie remembers your answer to the banner, so you are not asked again on every visit.
You can also delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings.
Service providers
Your data is only accessible to me and to the technical providers strictly necessary for the site to work:
- Hostinger International Limited (Cyprus): hosting of the site and email. Server logs (IP address, pages requested, date) are kept by the host for service security.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): spam protection for the form.
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland), and Google LLC (United States): audience measurement.
- Automattic, Inc. (United States): Gravatar service, for comment avatars.
Data transfers to the United States are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which these companies adhere, or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have the following rights over your data:
- access, rectification and erasure;
- restriction of processing and objection;
- data portability;
- withdrawal of your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- setting instructions on what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@vincentmenet.fr. I will reply within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes (in French), or by post at 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. WordPress, its theme and its plugins are kept up to date, access to the admin area is restricted, and the contact form limits the number of submissions to prevent abuse.
Comments
When you leave a comment on an article, the following is collected: your name, your email address (never published), your website if you provide one, the content of the comment, as well as your IP address and browser characteristics, to help detect spam.
