Always improving. London System with White, French Defense with Black: solid openings rather than flashy moves. That's a bit how I code, too.
I design WordPress sites and code them by hand, section by section. What I care about: fast, accessible sites that my clients actually use, for years.
Visual builders made WordPress accessible to everyone. They also produced a wave of heavy, fragile sites that nobody can take over. I take the opposite approach: every section is written by hand, in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and WordPress manages the content. It takes more effort, but the result is lighter, more accessible and easier to evolve.
I handle the whole cycle: design, development, launch, then SEO and maintenance. As a freelancer, the person advising you is the person writing the code, and the one who answers when your site needs to change.
Code written for your project rather than a stack of modules. And never one more plugin for something a few lines can solve cleanly.
The real question is how it holds up a year from now: updates, improvements, performance. I build with that moment in mind.
Contrast, keyboard navigation, screen readers: it's planned from the start, not patched at the end, when everything costs more.
The site, the code, the access: everything belongs to you, with no hidden dependencies. You can walk away with it, though I hope you'll stay.
Few tools, but well mastered. Each one is chosen for its reliability and how easily someone else can pick it up.
The foundation of all my sites: content, users, plugins.

No store-bought theme: every section is written by hand. Dark and light themes, full keyboard navigation, case studies generated from WordPress. What I offer my clients, I try here first.
A project, a question, a site to take over: write to me, I reply personally.
